Mid-20s rookie cop—half human, half fox by birth, raised without knowing it. Immune to seduction magic and stubbornly grounded, he becomes the one ally Xiao Hong can’t easily control.
DAJI (THE DARK FOX)
Xiao Hong’s sister, and the thing she fears becoming. An unbound jiuwei hu climbing toward godhood—equal parts seductive mastermind and feral predator. Her ritual murders are offerings, each one thinning the veil and feeding her rise.
SPIDER HAG
