Two worlds collide over a brutal murder in Chinatown, forcing an uneasy alliance between a cop and a mysterious, deadly fox spirit. The cop — he wants justice. The fox — she wants him!
两个世界,在唐人街的一场残酷谋杀事件中发生冲突。这迫使警员和神秘而致命的狐妖之间形成了令人不安的联盟。 警员想要伸张正义, 而狐妖想要得到他!
Two sisters battle for supremacy of the Fox Spirit world.
Caught in the middle is Nick Chen, a rookie cop. The
stakes — all of human-kind, as Daji vies to open the Veil
that separates the Demon World from Human.
Only her sister, Xiao, can stop her. But, Xiao’s playing her
own end-game, and she needs Nick to do it.
The Nine-Tailed Fox is both a supernatural thriller, where no one tells the truth, and no one is who they seem to be. For Nick Chen, that means embracing a
shattering truth about himself.

WHY The Nine-Tailed Fox
The Nine-Tailed Fox fuses mythological horror, martial-arts spectacle, and emotional complexity into a sleek, globally resonant package. Set in an adaptable Chinatown backdrop, it features a rich lore rooted in Chinese, Korean (Kumiho), and Japanese (Kitsune) traditions, reimagined for a contemporary audience.
At its heart is a morally complex antiheroine—Xiao Hong—whose struggle for humanity echoes classic genre arcs, while her shapeshifting fox-demon origins provide visceral thrills and seductive tension. The inclusion of a half-human protagonist (Nick Chen) unlocks additional audience identification and franchise depth.
The script is already bilingual (English & Mandarin), ideal for pan-Asian casting and location flexibility (Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea). Its cinematic DNA blends the kinetic action of The Witch: Part 1, the moody supernatural dread of The Wailing, and the seductive danger of Underworld, Succubus, and Painted Skin.
Commercial Hooks:
• Built-in global folklore recognition (Jiuwei Hu / Kumiho / Kitsune)
• Female-driven action-horror with wide international demand
• Themes of identity, betrayal, and love wrapped in supernatural peril
• Episodic spin-off potential (outlined in LookBook)
• Budget-flexible with strong ROI examples (Painted Skin: 1,090%)
